वो अक्सर भटक जाते हैं

जिन्हें सहारा मिल जाता है।

नज़र-नज़र में उतरना कमाल होता है,

नफ़स-नफ़स में बिखरना कमाल होता है,

बुलंदियों पे पहुँचना कोई कमाल नहीं,

बुलंदियों पे ठहरना कमाल होता है।

सुख दुःख की धूप-छाँव से आगे निकल के देख,

इन ख्वाहिशों के गाँव से आगे निकल के देख,

तूफान क्या डुबायेगा तेरी कश्ती को,

आँधियों की हवाओं से आगे निकल दे देख।

काम करो ऐसा कि एक पहचान बन जाये,

हर कदम ऐसा चलो कि निशान बन जाये,

यहाँ ज़िन्दगी तो हर कोई काट लेता है,

ज़िन्दगी जियो इस कदर कि मिसाल बन जाये।
